                                                         SELIANITIKA PART ONE IDEAL FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN                        

Selianitika is one of the prettiest villages in the prefecture of Achaia in the northwest Peloponnese. Is 180 km from Athens, 35 km from Patras and only 7 km from Aigio. It has about a thousand residents.
The name is directly related to the local name of the mountain village in eastern Egialias of Selianas. The descent of most residents of the mountainous Selianas and the permanent establishment in the seaside village Selianítika place according to historical sources on the Ottoman period. At the beginning of the century Selianitika formed the commercial center of the region because the inhabitants had developed trade and even by sea to the settlements and Rumeli.
Today Selianítika are the tourist office of the City Confederacy and are known for their spas. They have beautiful beach with clear water, shops, restaurants, traditional tavernas, coffee - bar, open-air cinema, rooms and hotels. Patron saint of the village is Saint Basil.

Access to Selianítika is easy to select any means of transport and especially by car and train. Selianitika can still be your starting point to visit Aigio, the ski resort in Kalavryta, Patras, ancient Olympia and Delphi.
